With this platform, you can conveniently trade in securities or monitor portfolios for all of your clients, as well as specific individuals. Despite its many features, LGT SmartBanking Pro remains user-friendly, ensuring that you can easily navigate the platform and efficiently manage your clients' assets.

If you experience any issues with our platform, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our team of online banking specialists is available every weekday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to assist you with any problems or questions you may have.

In the event of a system or security incident (e.g. loss of password, unauthorized communications etc.), you should immediately report the incident to LGT Bank AG, Hong Kong Branch (the "Bank") by contacting your relationship manager through other modes of communication such as e-mail or telephone.

Our e-services

Our e-services are designed to simplify your administrative tasks, accelerate processes, and help you achieve more with less effort. With our user-friendly platform, you can easily download and file bank documents, access and process portfolio and transaction data, and even enter stock market orders in your portfolio management system and upload them directly to our trading system.

E-documents

E-data

You can use e-data to download your portfolio and transaction data, which we make available daily on a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) server.

The server-to-server connection is protected by public and private keys.

By default, your data will be delivered in the form of SWIFT messages and in the LGT standard. However, you can also opt for just a data package:

SWIFT messages
These messages are delivered in SWIFT format: MT535, MT536, MT940, MT950, MT999, MT300, MT305, MT320, MT330, MT350, MT515, MT544, MT546, MT566, MT599, MT600 and MT601
LGT standard
Each LGT standard data package contains a position file, a transaction file and an exchange rates file. All files are delivered in CSV and XML format.

Technical requirements and security

At LGT, we prioritize the security of your data. We store all information in encrypted and redundant form in highly secure, fail-safe data centers. Additionally, we continuously update our hardware and software and maintain the highest and strictest security standards. To ensure that you can access your data securely, it is important that your computer and smartphone or tablet meet certain technical requirements.

Technical requirements

In LGT SmartBanking Pro, you need the LGT SmartBanking app in order to log in if you do not wish to do so with the LGT cryptogram scanner. You can download the app free of charge from the App Store or Google Play Store. You can use LGT SmartBanking Pro on any Internet-enabled PC or laptop. The following browsers can be used for LGT SmartBanking Pro:

Edge (102.0 and higher)
Safari (16.0 and higher)

Use LGT SmartBanking Pro securely

To access our service, you will need to create a user account, and we will send your personal user ID and password to you by mail. In a separate activation letter, you will receive a cryptogram that you will need to keep safe and never share with any third party.

For security reasons, LGT SmartBanking Pro can only be accessed on a computer or laptop. To authenticate your identity when logging in, you will need to use either an LGT cryptogram scanner or the LGT SmartBanking app on your smartphone, in addition to entering your user ID and password. You can download the LGT SmartBanking app for free from the App Store or Google Play Store, and order an LGT cryptogram scanner, which will be sent to you along with your personal user ID.

To log in using the LGT cryptogram scanner or your smartphone, simply scan the cryptogram on your computer or laptop screen, and use the security code that appears after the scan to authenticate your identity.

Important information for your security

Online banking services are popular targets for fraudsters. For example, they try to circumvent security measures by obtaining user data via fraudulent e-mails (phishing) or malware and thus gain access to your online banking service. We therefore advise you to always be attentive and observe the following security instructions:

Protect your data

Never give your user ID, passwords or access or activation letter to any third party, and do not take any photos, copies or scans of these.
Always query any unsolicited contact, e.g. someone you don’t know asking questions about your accounts or offering to resolve IT problems.
Use only the official LGT SmartBanking Pro website or the official LGT SmartBanking app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
LGT will never ask you over the phone or in an e-mail to reveal confidential data or grant remote access to your online banking service. You should be very skeptical of any such requests.
Carefully check all the information that appears on your authentication device when logging in or making a transaction, and only proceed when you are completely happy.

Recognize phishing e-mails

Whenever you receive an e-mail or a push notification from the app, check the sender’s address and message content carefully. Bear in mind that e-mail addresses can also be falsified.
Do not open any e-mail attachments or click on any links that look suspicious.

Device security

Use the latest releases of all operating systems and browsers and protect your computer, smartphone and tablet using up-to-date, tested antivirus programs.
Activate your computer’s firewall. Install one if you don’t already have one.

Password security

Secure passwords...
- are at least twelve characters long.
- consist of upper and lower-case letters, digits and special characters.
- do not appear in a dictionary.
- do not contain any dates, your own name or any family member’s name.
- are unique and individual for each account.
Do not reveal your password to anyone.
Use different passwords for each online banking service and change them regularly.
