After taking third place in the "Large Companies (250+ employees)" category in 2019, LGT Bank Switzerland, together with LGT in Liechtenstein, had its workplace culture re-certified by the renowned Great Place to Work institute in 2020. Their very good results enabled LGT Bank Switzerland and LGT in Liechtenstein to advance to the top 45 "Best Workplaces" in the joint ranking of the two countries. LGT was thus able to keep pace with strong competitors such as Cisco, which leads in the ranking, SAP and DHL.

In addition to the excellent results of the employee survey, LGT also impressed the Great Place to Work institute with the measures it implements to ensure an optimal workplace culture. It informs its employees transparently, integrates new employees quickly and succeeds in communicating its values credibly. LGT employees also appreciate that they are given significant responsibility, and they are proud of their employer.

Based on the very good survey results and the excellent workplace culture initiatives, the institute certified LGT as a "Great Place to Work" in January and now also ranks it among the "Best Workplaces" in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. In addition, LGT was able to impress the institute in other countries, for example, its locations in Austria, Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and London were also certified as a "Great Place to Work". Further to this, the branches in Dubai, London and Austria were selected as one of the "Best Workplaces".

"We have the right framework"

Roland Schubert, CEO of LGT Bank in Liechtenstein, is delighted about the ranking: "This excellent result confirms that we have the right framework in place to offer our employees an optimal working environment." Heinrich Henckel, CEO of LGT Bank Switzerland, adds: "Our workplace culture is characterized by strong values such as respect, continuity and an entrepreneurial approach. The fact that we can keep pace with the very best employers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein is an incentive for us to continue to place a strong focus on cultivating these values."

Every year, Great Place to Work, an international consulting and research institute, awards its "Great Place to Work" certification to those companies around the world that achieve outstanding results in an employee survey and a "Culture Audit", which is a detailed documentation of workplace culture from the employer’s perspective. Of these certified employers, the top 45 per country are then recognized as "Best Workplaces". Further information can be found at: www.gptw.com
