In addition to Swiss QR bills, you can also pay EPC (EU) QR bills in LGT SmartBanking. Various options are available for this.

Use of a notebook or externally connected webcam
Scan QR code with webcam or notebook camera
Navigate to "Payment" > "New payment" and click on "Create new payment". Select "Scan QR-bill". Hold your QR-Bill code for a few seconds in front of your camera with a sufficient distance. Most of the entry fields will be prefilled with the option to edit. It is also possible to set up a standing order directly in the payment form. Check on the preview screen after clicking on "Submit" your entered details. By confirming you will start the verifying process which is explained further down.
In case of scanning problems, please check the following:
Is the camera slider open
Is a camera plugged in
Did you allow your internet browser access to your camera
Is the blue light filter turned off on your screen (check settings on your device)
Upload from a file storage from your computer/notebook
Navigate to "Payment" > "New payment" and click on "Create new payment". Select "Upload QR-bill". Select the QR-bill from your file storage. The file must be in .pdf, .jpg or .png format and should not exceed 20 MB and only one file at one time is allowed.
Sign payments on your desktop scanned with LGT SmartBanking app
You can edit and sign the payment via the "Execute" function and delete it via the "Delete" function.
Verifying a payment
In order to verify a payment you will receive on you mobile device a notification which you have to confirm with your biometrics. You also have the option to manually confirm by selecting "Manual signing", then scanning the cryptogram with your mobile device and clicking on "Verify". If you do not have a mobile device but a Cronto-Reader please use the manual signing process.
Signing a transaction
To protect you from unintentional transfers to third parties, you will in certain cases be requested to sign your payment using your second device.
A push notification will be sent to your device. Confirm this within 60 seconds using the code, touch ID or face ID. Verify the payment and then "Confirm" it.
Once this has been successfully confirmed, you will automatically be redirected to the next page in LGT SmartBanking. Your payment has been entered successfully.
Scan & Pay using Smartphone
Navigate to "Payments" in the main navigation at the bottom. Click on the blue icon with the plus and chose"Scan & Pay". This allows the camera on your smartphone to be used.
Upload from a file storage on your Smartphone
Navigate to "Payments" in the main navigation at the bottom. Click on the blue icon with the plus and choose "Upload QR-bill". Select a pdf or an image of a QR-bill.
Share to the e-banking app
Open the QR bill as a PDF or image on your smartphone
Tap on "Share" or "Send to"
Select LGT SmartBanking as the app
Log into LGT SmartBanking
If a valid QR code of a QR bill has been recognized, the payment is created and can be paid
Entering and verifying a payment
Most of the entry fields will be prefilled with the option to edit. It is also possible to set up a standing order directly in the payment form. Afterwards you can double check your entries on the payment review screen before you are asked to verify the transaction. Once the transaction has been successfully verified, you will automatically be directed to the confirmation screen for your payment. For security reasons, LGT recommends that you sign each transaction. You can adjust this individually in the user settings.
Please note: QR-Bills can only be processed by clients booked in Europe, Middle East and Africa. Individual and collective orders that are placed after 11 am (CET) are executed on the following working day.
