Your challenge

Our organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Value Management Office (VMO) for the Digital Solutions Portfolio. This role is pivotal in driving key focus areas such as value management, operational efficiency, financial oversight, and strategic alignment. The Head of VMO will collaborate closely with business area heads, senior management, and cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of maximum value and the strategic direction of the IT Platforms supporting Front Units. 

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Planning and Execution 

  • Supports the development and implementation of value management initiatives in alignment with the company's goals. 

  • Collaborates with senior management to align value objectives and ensure effective execution of plans. 

 

Financial Management and Oversight 

  • Responsible for the overall financial steering of the portfolios. 

  • Defines standards for financial oversight that are binding across all portfolios. 

  • Oversees budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of the portfolios. 

  • Monitors financial metrics, conducts financial analysis, and ensures adherence to financial targets. 

  • Manages the preparation and presentation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. 

 

Value Management 

  • Oversees delivery management activities, ensuring successful delivery aligned with organizational goals. 

  • Implements and tracks performance metrics (e.g., lead time, cycle time) to measure success and inform continuous improvement efforts. 

  • Coordinates with different departments to streamline processes and improve operational workflows. 

 

Stakeholder Management 

  • Engages with various stakeholders to foster strong relationships and ensure alignment with business objectiveson value delivery and project objectives. 

 

Team Leadership 

  • Leads and mentors a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. 

  • Conducts training, mentoring, and coaching to ensure teams are aligned with value management principles. 

 

Communication and Coordination 

  • Enables effective communication and clarity within the VMO through regular meetings and forums. 

  • Enhances communication between the VMO and various business units to ensure alignment and collaboration. 

Your Future Colleagues 

The role reports tothe LGT Financial Services Chief Operating Officer (COO) and will be part of the COO Management Team. 

Your profile

  • A university degree in Business, Management, Finance, or a related field is essential. 

  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in value management, finance, project management ideally in financial services, or a relevant industry. 

  • Experience in business management or financial management roles. 

  • Outstanding knowledge of value management practices like Lean, Agile, and Value Stream Management. 

  • Ability to communicate with and manage senior partners. 

  • Proven ability to excel under pressure and possess a positive can-do attitude to build up new solutions, processes and group-wide standards. 

  • Confident personality with excellent relationship skills to interact with partners across various departments. 

  • Excels in teamwork and collaboration. 

  • Attention to detail with good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask. 

  • Expert written, spoken, presentation, and communication skills. 

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite of products. 

  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and valuing diverse perspectives.
