Market view and Insights
With LGT as its new main sponsor and a program of exciting debuts, beloved concert formats and spectacular tours, the world-famous Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich starts its 2023/24 season soon.
The Tonhalle-Gesellschaft Zürich gave its guests a preview of the 2023/24 concert season at a recent media lunch, with Olivier de Perregaux, CEO LGT Private Banking, present at the event. As already announced at the end of April, LGT Private Banking will take over the main sponsorship of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich at the start of the new season.
Music lovers can look forward to numerous program highlights in coming months. These include interesting "focus artists" who will accompany the orchestra in various concerts, as well as debuts with internationally up-and-coming pianists, organists, sopranos and conductors. In addition to performances at the Tonhalle in Zurich, the orchestra will once again take its music out into the world. Appearances at the Proms in London, the Beethoven Festival in Bonn and the Dvorák Festival in Prague are planned, among others, as well as trips to South Korea and Japan.
Both Music Director Paavo Järvi and Ilona Schmiel, Artistic Director, of the Tonhalle-Gesellschaft Zürich, have extended their contracts until 2029. Martin Vollenwyder, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Tonhalle-Gesellschaft Zürich, is convinced the duo is "an excellent team to explore the full potential of the orchestra".
LGT is looking forward to its collaboration with the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, which will officially begin at the start of the 2023/24 season.
