LGT Bank Österreich has appointed Wolfgang Eisl as its new CEO. Wolfgang Riedl will join the Executive Board as Head of Private Banking and Maximilian Hahn will remain on the Executive Board as COO.
Wolfgang Eisl will assume the role of CEO of LGT Bank Österreich effective 1 January 2025. He joined LGT in 2021 as part of the acquisition of the wealth management business of UBS Europe SE in Austria. With over 30 years of experience in the financial sector, including as Country Head Austria and Head of Wealth Management for Austria and Southern Germany at UBS, Wolfgang Eisl has extensive management capabilities and strategic expertise. Since joining LGT, he has made a significant contribution to the further development of LGT Bank Österreich. In his new role, Wolfgang Eisl will continue to expand and develop LGT Bank Österreich’s strong position together with his management team.
Wolfgang Riedl, who will assume overall responsibility for Private Banking in Austria from January 2025, will join the Executive Board as a new member – subject to the approval of the supervisory authority. Wolfgang Riedl joined LGT Bank Österreich when it opened its first branch office in 2007. He has extensive knowledge of both the company and Austria’s private banking sector. Wolfgang Riedl has held a number of management roles at LGT. In his current position as Head Relationship Management, he has been instrumental in driving growth and development in the Austrian market. With his extensive private banking expertise and clear focus on the needs of discerning private banking clients, Wolfgang Riedl will play an important role in further strengthening LGT Bank Österreich’s position in a challenging market environment.
Maximilian Hahn, who also joined LGT in 2021 as part of the acquisition of the wealth management business of UBS Europe SE in Austria will remain COO of LGT Bank Österreich and a member of the Executive Board. Prior to these roles, he held various senior management positions at UBS, including COO of UBS Austria and Operating Head of UBS Germany.

With around 240 employees, LGT Bank Österreich is one of Austria’s largest private banks. The new Executive Board will further strengthen the bank’s position and increase its long-term growth potential.
