In this year’s quality test conducted by Handelsblatt Elite Report, LGT Bank received the highest possible "summa cum laude" designation and retained its spot among the top ten wealth managers in German-speaking countries. LGT also achieved another excellent result in this year’s FUCHS | RICHTER assessment, and was designated one of the top ten banks and wealth managers in Switzerland, Germany, Liechtenstein and Austria.
At the Handelsblatt Elite Report awards ceremony yesterday in Salzburg, LGT once again secured a spot among the top ten elite wealth managers in German-speaking countries. Achieving a score of 810 points, it received the highest "summa cum laude" distinction and was designated the best bank in Liechtenstein. For the quality test, the editorial team assessed 372 wealth managers in Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria and Switzerland, evaluating and rating them in a multi-stage process. Only 54 institutions made it to the final round and were classified as "recommended".
The Handelsblatt Elite Report’s editorial team was impressed by LGT’s long-term approach and the high quality of its client advisory services. In their evaluation, the reviewers wrote: "Everything is consistent from A to Z. (...) The relationship managers ensure their proposal aligns with the level of risk the client feels comfortable with. They do not use any technical jargon – everything makes sense and is easy to understand. From how the bank deals with market volatility and geopolitical developments to its respect for individual client requirements, LGT’s open-minded approach is evident in everything it does, both on a human and professional level."
The renowned testing organisation FUCHS | RICHTER also recently published the results of its latest quality test. For this year’s edition of TOPS 2025, in which it ranks the best wealth managers in German-speaking countries, the focus was ensuring a carefree future through good wealth planning. The questions addressed included: Which bank can best plan my finances for retirement? Who will protect my assets and ensure I will be able to live comfortably in my old age? How do they address my individual needs? FUCHS | RICHTER reviewed and analysed 70 providers across various clearly defined categories for its quality test. At last week’s awards ceremony at the Private Banking Summit in Berlin, it was announced that LGT had ranked among the top ten banks and wealth managers in Switzerland, Germany, Liechtenstein and Austria. LGT performed especially well in the investment expertise category. In addition, the bank secured fifth place in the "perpetual best list", which tracks the long-standing performance of wealth managers in German-speaking countries.
