In April 2023, LGT launched a digital development hub in Barcelona to accelerate its digitalisation efforts. After 18 months of building and scaling, LGT Group has officially established "LGT Digital Factory (Spain) S.L." as its subsidiary with over 20 employees.
To secure the capabilities required to successfully execute its digitalisation strategy, LGT has set up a dedicated digital hub in Barcelona – the "LGT Incubator and Accelerator Centre" – in close collaboration with GFT, a global leader and advisor in digital transformation. Since its launch in the spring of 2023, the hub has been developed step by step, with the first digital products successfully rolled out in recent months and many more in the pipeline. As of 1 October 2024, this new subsidiary of LGT Group will be led by Michael Bernhard Schwieter, who has played a pivotal role in the launch and ongoing development of the digital hub.
