Platform Engineer (Openshift / Kubernetes) 80-100% (f/m/d) Bendern (LI)

In the role of Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Ensuring 7/24 availability and performance of the container platforms
• Definition of the technical life cycle and procedures in cooperation with the existing operations team
• Automate repetitive tasks by writing scripts or playbooks to save time, minimize errors and enable efficient delegation of support tasks
• Review dashboards for application telemetry, deploy updates and fixes in Openshift and Azure Kubernetes Service environments
• Providing operational support, performing root cause analysis for system errors and basic installation and configuration of Openshift clusters
   

• Experience in implementing and utilizing methodologies and metrics to oversee support activities
• Proficiency with contemporary scripting languages (such as Bash, Yaml, Python)
• Familiarity with fundamental security principles
• Competence with version control systems (e.g., GIT, GitHub, etc.)
• Familiarity with development tools (e.g., code repositories, build engines, deployment tools)
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and related utilities or scripts (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, etc.)
• Usage of APM/monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, etc.)
• Understanding of CI/CD practices for continuous integration/continuous deployment
• Knowledge of Kubernetes routing and load balancing (Nginx/HA Proxy/Other)
• Proficiency in Linux
• Demonstrated history of delivering outcomes effectively in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities
• Valuing a diverse and inclusive work environment
