Global regulators are rolling out new standards for companies to report their sustainability efforts. These aim to harmonise sustainability reporting by building on existing frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). LGT has elected to report in line with the new standards one year earlier than required.
This encompasses reporting for LGT Group in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), the European Union Taxonomy for sustainable activities and, for LGT Private Banking, with TCFD. We also fulfill our reporting obligations under the Principles for Responsible Banking (PRB), of which we became a signatory in 2021, by publishing the PRB Report.
Another regulatory requirement, the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation on Principle Adverse Impacts (SFDR PAI), aims to regulate sustainable investments by requiring that we disclose the negative impact of financial products have on the people and planet. The SFDR PAI Report will be published in June 2024 - our Stewardship Report will follow later this summer.
