At the sixteenth annual Global Private Banking Awards, the Financial Times publications Professional Wealth Management (PWM) and The Banker once again recognised the world's best private banks. LGT was again designated the world's Best Private Bank for Alternatives. "Our owner, the Princely House of Liechtenstein, started investing in private equity, private debt and other private markets early on, and we are able to take advantage of our extensive experience in this segment when advising our clients", says Olivier de Perregaux, CEO LGT Private Banking. "Having our investment expertise recognised by an independent jury is gratifying and motivates us to continue to develop our offering."

At the Global Private Banking Awards, LGT also received the Best Private Bank in Asia for the Next Generation award. The 15-member panel of independent judges consisting of industry experts from Europe, Asia and North America was particularly impressed by LGT's approach and commitment. Yuri Bender, Editor-in-Chief of PWM and one of the judges, says: "LGT is sensitive to the needs of different generations and has a keen awareness of how assets, responsibilities and family values are transferred between different age cohorts."

Outstanding leadership

In addition to these awards, a very special accolade went to H.S.H Prince Max von und zu Liechtenstein, Chairman LGT; the judges presented him with the award for Best Private Banking Leader for 2024. "The winner of this award has the ability to convey his vision both internally and outside the bank in an extremely human way. He understands how to communicate and interact with different client groups and effectively combine tradition and innovation", explains Yuri Bender. "I'm delighted to receive this award", says H.S.H. Prince Max von und zu Liechtenstein. "It is important to me that in addition to successfully conducting its business, LGT also takes responsibility for society. We take a very long-term view both as a family and as a company. And this approach shows us the way forward, especially in today's challenging environment."

At the 2024 Global Wealth Awards held by Private Banker International in October, LGT received the Outstanding Philanthropy Offering award for the second consecutive year. LGT also recently received an award at Global Finance magazine's World's Best Private Bank Awards, where it was designated the best private bank in Liechtenstein.
