Your challenge

Business Unit

The Custody Services business unit comprises a number of teams:  Trade Support, Corporate Actions, Reconciliations, Data Management and Custody Control. Custody Services is the engine room of the Firm providing a wide range of support and service for the Investment Managers, their teams and their Clients.

Brief Role Objective

  • Produce daily client money and asset reconciliations (both internal and external) and ensure outstanding items are monitored and escalated appropriately
  • Create and perform monthly directly held asset reconciliations
  • Perform bi-annual certificated holdings reconciliations
  • Provide testing and project support for the Autorek upgrade project
  • Cover for the existing Reconciliations Team during annual leave and sickness
  • Support the Stock File team by covering daily pricing tasks
  • Assist with all audit-related activities (Assurance and CASS)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconciliation of client money and assets using the Autorek platform
  • Production of daily Client Money Requirement and reporting.
  • Ensure all reconciliation breaks are resolved promptly and maintain a comprehensive audit trail for outstanding items.
  • Ensure compliance with CASS regulations for all asset and cash reconciliations.
  • Review and update task and checklists in Ruleguard
  • Develop and produce MI reporting.
  • Assist in testing and implementing the Autorek V6 upgrade for client money reconciliations.
  • Provide cover on the daily pricing process to support the Stock File function
  • Support various projects across the business to ensure reconciliation and custody control needs are met.

Your profile

Experience, skills and competencies:

  • Excellent reconciliations experience (both cash and stock).
  • Demonstrable knowledge of both CASS 6 and 7 regulatory requirements
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of UK wealth management, gained in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of investment products.
  • A creative, proactive and innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent organisation skills. Ability to identify/propose process improvements.
  • Proactive and flexible approach
  • Excellent team player but capable of organising own workload.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal

IT: 

Essential:

  • PC/Microsoft Office literate

Desirable

  • Experience of FNZ Wealth Asset Management platform Figaro
  • Experience of Autorek
